'Josephine Teo: Government Continues to Support AI Innovation, Emphasizes Responsible Use'

Singapore's Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo stated that the Singapore government will continue to support artificial intelligence innovation and focus on cultivating talent in related fields to meet the demands of technological development. At the same time, she called on enterprises to adopt a responsible attitude when promoting AI applications, ensuring the safety and fairness of technology use.

Josephine Teo made these remarks while attending the launch ceremony of Prudential's Global AI Lab. She pointed out that various industries are actively applying AI technology to enhance productivity and maintain market competitiveness. However, she also emphasized that the rapid development of emerging technologies needs to be accompanied by risk control for bias, protection of personal data, and establishment of public trust.

Achievements of the AI Lab
The newly launched lab has delivered over 100 proposals in just three months since its establishment, aimed at solving real-life challenges faced by various industries. These proposals cover multiple areas from customer service optimization to risk assessment model improvements, demonstrating the potential of AI technology in driving industrial upgrading.

Prudential stated that the establishment of the Global AI Lab will not only help enterprises improve service efficiency but also set exemplary standards for AI adoption across the entire industry.
